Vitality: Biography

Team Vitality is a French multi-gaming organization. The Vitality tag is featured in six disciplines, including CSGO, League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, and Overwatch. We bring to your attention the history of the CSGO division of the renowned organization.

The Fall and Rise of the Vitality

The first results of the newly minted team were not long in coming. Almost a month after signing, in November 2018, Vitality won the DreamHack Open Atlanta 2018. A month later, the French took second place at LOOT.BET Cup # 3.
However, the positive start was quickly overshadowed by the performance at the closed qualifiers of the Europe Minor Championship - Katowice 2019. Their Vitality took 5-8th place. After that Happy, place was taken by the young British performer Alex.

The beginning of 2019 turned out to be quite chaotic for Vitality. In January, the team took 1st-4th place at ESEA Season 29: Premier Relegation - Europe and 2nd place at Europe Minor Championship - Katowice 2019, as in the same month it was defeated in the open qualifiers for Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Sydney: European Open Qualifier.

In February, the team takes 1st place at WePlay! Lock and Load and in the same month finished in 9-11th place at the debut Major tournament in the history of Intel Extreme Masters XIII - Katowice Major 2019.

The following year, Team Vitality is trying to "align" the results, simultaneously considering the best options for the roster that needs rejuvenation. In April, Happy leaves the team, who spent several months on the bench.
In the same month, Team Vitality won the Charleroi Esports 2019 and took 2nd place in the Esports Championship Series Season 7 - Europe. Vitality continues to perform well in May. The team won the ESL One: Cologne 2019 - Europe Qualifier and won the cs_summit 4. However, May was a little overshadowed by the 5-6th place at DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019.

Summer 2019 is going well for Vitality. In June, the team won the major championship Esports Championship Series Season 7 - Finals, and also won the ESEA Season 31: Premier Division - Europe.
In July, the team lost to Team Liquid in the ESL One: Cologne 2019 final, after which it showed a not very good result in the qualifiers for ESL One: New York 2019, where it took 7-8th place. In the same month, Vitality took 3-4th place at two major tournaments at once: ESEA Season 31: Global Challenge and Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Chicago. In September, Vitality will again face a serious test - StarLadder Berlin Major 2019. In the beginning, the French are not doing well, but as a result, Vitality manages to make it to the playoffs. However, the team did not manage to prove themselves there, and the result was the 5-8th place.

After playing at the Berlin Major, NBK- goes to the bench, and Shox takes his place at the base. After replacing a player, Vitality takes 2nd place at DreamHack Masters Malmo 2019 in October, but several failures follow: in the same month, Vitality takes 7th-8th place at StarSeries & i-League CS: GO Season 8 and 13th place at Esports Championship Series Season 8 - Europe.
November is followed by 3-4th place at Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Beijing and 9-10th place at ESL Pro League Season 10 - Europe. It would seem that Vitality will no longer be able to gain a foothold at the TOP of the European scene, but EPICENTER 2019 happens in December.
At EPICENTER 2019, to everyone's surprise, Team Vitality demonstrates excellent play, which allows them to ultimately win one of the largest tournaments of the year.

The beginning of 2020 for Vitality turned out to be not very happy against the background of the last victory at EPICENTER 2019. In February, the team took 7-9th place at BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 Regular Season and 9-12th at Intel Extreme Masters XIV - World Championship.
After a series of unsuccessful tournaments, Vitality decided to make personnel changes. In March 2020, ALEX left the active roster, and misutaaa took his place. Already in April, with the beginning of the era of the online format, Vitality began performing with a renewed lineup. The first tournament for misutaaa in the team of French stars was ESL Pro League Season 11: Europe, where Vitality took 7-9th place. In May, the team finished in 4th place at ESL One: the road to Rio - Europe.

Summer, again, started very positively. Vitality won BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Showdown in June. However, in the same month, they took 7-8th place at DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 Europe. However, the pandemic did not end there, which means that the tournaments did not end either. At the end of June, Vitality finished in 2nd place in BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals, and later took two more second places: at cs_summit 6 Online: Europe in July and ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online - Europe in August.
September 2020 for Vitality began with a 9-10th place at ESL Pro League Season 12: Europe, and later grew into 3-4th place at Intel Extreme Masters XV - New York Online: Europe, although this happened already in October.

All in the same October, Vitality took second place at DreamHack Open Fall 2020 and won BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Regular Season. In November, Vitality again became champions of a major tournament. It was Intel Extreme Masters XV - Beijing Online: Europe, in the final of which Vitality beat NaVi on 5 maps.
