Team Virtus.pro and YEKINDAR
Players: AdreN (Kaz), SANJI (Uzb), qikert (Kaz), Jame (Rus), YEKINDAR (Let)
World Ranking: #22
The team based in Russia is the best classified in relation to the ranking, however, it should be remembered that at the end of 2019 it underwent an important change of staff, with great figures who emigrated to other teams, and others who came to Virtus.pro in his replacement.
The renovation was profound since mid-December the Kazakh coach Dastan arrived and from that date until the end of the year all the players from the current squad were joining: AdreN (Kaz), SANJI (Uzb), qikert (Kaz), Jame (Rus ). The last to arrive is YEKINDAR, the Latvian-born player who signed up just before the start of this tournament.
In 2020 YEKINDAR had a winning percentage below 50%, something that was understandable when we consider that the team was still getting to know each other. Although it is also worth considering that when reaching the middle of the year 2020 and it was expected that the team will begin to demonstrate the level that was seen in mid-2019.
Undoubtedly, in tournaments of this level Virtus.pro is always a candidate to fight; we have seen how much the incorporation of YEKINDAR influences, who according to the team coach, comes to generate the collective synergy that they were lacking.
