Lucas 'Bubzkji' Andersen and Astralis are going their separate ways. The CS:GO pro joins the Danish TV channel TV2 as an expert and can now join a team or organisation at any time.
Astralis and Bubzkji are ending their cooperation. As the Danish organisation announced on Monday, the CS:GO pro can move to another team or organisation with immediate effect. In the near future, Bubzkji will also act as an expert for the Danish TV channel TV2.
The 23-year-old Rifler joined the Astralis roster as the sixth player in July 2020. However, due to Valve's subsequent restriction on the number of players in the Regional Major Rankings, Bubzkji had to take a seat on the bench.
Stewing on the bench
After Nicolai 'dev1ce' Reedtz left the team for Ninjas in Pyjamas in April 2021, Bubzkji moved into the starting lineup for six months. However, after the return of Lukas 'gla1ve' Egholm Rossander from paternity leave, the 23-year-old again languished on the bench.
That Astralis were no longer planning on Bubzkji was made clear by the signings of Benjamin 'blameF' Vang Bremer and Kristian 'k0nfig' Wienecke, who were signed in November after the Stockholm 2021 PGL Major.
Astralis sport director Kasper Hvidt summed up in a statement that the cooperation between the organisation and Bubzkji had not developed as hoped. Now a solution has been found that gives "Lucas a free hand" for the future.
