Team Vitality is rebuilding its squad with Peter 'dupreeh' Rasmussen, Emil 'Magisk' Hoffmann Reif and Danny 'zonic' Selim Sørensen, according to a report by news site +1PV on Saturday. Richard 'shox' Papillon, Jayson 'Kyojin' Nguyen Van and coach Rémy 'XTQZZ' Quoniam are to make way for them. Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut, Kévin 'misutaaa' Rabier and captain Dan 'apEX' Madesclaire would remain in the team.

If the information is confirmed, the organisation would compete with an international line-up in the future. Team Vitality were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 by eventual winners Natus Vincere 2-0 in a best-of-three. Overall, the performance of the French in Sweden was mixed. After two defeats at the start of the Legends Stage, the team then qualified for the playoffs with three wins.

Last week, Astralis announced the departure of dupreeh, Magisk and zonic, whose contracts expire in January at the latest. In return, the Danish organisation signed two newcomers, Kristian 'k0nfig' Wienecke and Benjamin 'blameF' Vang Bremer, as well as Alexander 'ave' Holdt as the new coach.
